The Practice

Terms of Service

Last updated 3 November 2026

The short version: you pay once, thirty letters arrive by email one weekday morning at a time, and if it is not for you there are fourteen days to say so and get your money back.

01 Who you are dealing with

These terms are an agreement between you and the seller named below. By buying The Practice you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not buy — the free seven days are still yours either way.

Payment is handled by Paddle. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns.

That means your card statement will show Paddle, your receipt and any tax invoice come from Paddle, and sales tax or VAT is collected and remitted by Paddle on our behalf.

02 What you are buying

The Practice is a written course delivered by email. It is thirty letters, one for each weekday across six weeks, about 250 words each. Each letter carries one instruction and a short explanation of why it is that instruction and not another.

You also get a one-page card of the five movements, which you can print or ignore.

This is digital content. Nothing is shipped, there is no app, no account, no video course, and no community. Delivery is by email only, to the address you give at checkout.

If you have already read the free seven days, you start at day eight rather than day one. You are not charged twice for letters you have already received.

03 Price and payment

The price is USD 37.00, charged once.

It is not a subscription. Nothing renews, nothing recurs, and there is no stored payment method to cancel. When you have paid, the transaction is finished.

The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. If your card is in another currency, your bank may apply its own conversion rate and possibly a foreign transaction fee; that charge is between you and your bank, not us.

We may change the price for future buyers. A change never affects a purchase you have already made.

04 When the letters arrive

Letters go out at 06:30 in your local time, Monday to Friday. Weekends are deliberately empty — the course is built around a working week, and a letter on a Sunday is a letter nobody reads.

The first letter usually arrives the next morning after you buy. If you buy on a Friday evening, the first letter arrives on Monday.

We use the time zone your browser reports. If it is wrong, reply to any letter and we will correct it, or use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of a letter to reach a human.

05 Refunds

You have fourteen days from the date of purchase to change your mind, for any reason or none. No form, no explanation required, and you keep every letter you have received.

The full detail — including how to ask and how long it takes — is on the refund page, which forms part of these terms.

06 Your copy of the letters

The letters are for you. Read them, print them, keep them, come back to them years later, share a line with a friend.

What you may not do is resell them, publish them, put them in a paid product, or redistribute them in bulk. The writing is the whole product; copying it out from under us is the one thing that would stop it existing.

If you want to quote a letter in something you are writing, ask. The answer is usually yes.

07 What this is not

This is a course about making tea and paying attention to it. It is not medical advice, not therapy, not a treatment for any condition, and it makes no health claims of any kind.

Nothing here should replace the advice of a doctor or other qualified professional. If you are dealing with a health problem, a cup of tea is a pleasant thing and not a solution.

You need a kettle, a cup, and water. That is the entire equipment requirement. Week four suggests a gaiwan, which is optional and which we do not sell.

08 If an email does not arrive

Email is imperfect. A letter can be filtered, delayed, or swallowed by a spam folder. If one goes missing, reply to any letter you have received, or write to support@amosipm.com, and we will send it again by hand.

We do not consider a missed letter a breach on your side, and it does not shorten the course. You get thirty letters.

09 Leaving

Every letter has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom. Using it stops all future letters immediately and permanently. No confirmation step, no "are you sure", no attempt to talk you out of it.

Unsubscribing does not entitle you to a refund on its own, though the fourteen-day window still applies if you are inside it.

10 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms — to fix an error, to reflect a change in how the course works, or to comply with the law. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published on the day you bought.

If we make a change that materially reduces what you get, we will email you before it takes effect and refund you if you would rather not continue.

11 Complaints and applicable law

If something has gone wrong, tell us first at support@amosipm.com. Almost everything is fixable in one email, and we would rather fix it than argue about it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Nothing in them removes any right you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live — if those rights are stronger than these terms, they win.

If you are in the EU or the UK, you also have a statutory right to withdraw from a digital purchase within fourteen days. We honour that right whether or not you have started receiving the letters, which is more generous than the law requires.
